Conveyancing Assistant / Secretary

We seek a Conveyancing Assistant / Secretary to assist our busy conveyancing solicitor at our Hailsham office.

Previous experience of working on residential property transactions is preferred.

Applicants should have excellent secretarial skills including fast accurate typing and good communication skills, and provide excellent levels of client care.  The role requires someone who is highly organised with a keen attention to detail.  The work can be quite pressured at times and applicants should enjoy working in a busy environment.

Trainee Solicitor (Training Contract)

We are seeking to recruit a trainee solicitor with a particular interest in Private Client work (Wills, Probate (administration of estates), Powers of Attorney, Trusts and allied matters).

To be considered for this role you must have passed your Legal Practice Course.

The successful candidate will need to be not only motivated, hardworking and effective, but also conscious of the impression they give to clients.  Our success as a firm is based on providing a service that clients recognise as ‘special’ in both content and delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to complete your training in a supportive environment before qualifying as a solicitor.  A trainee who is able to prove they are technically sound, an excellent communicator and a pro-active marketer can expect to be rewarded with career progression within our well established firm.

Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive

Hart Reade are seeking to recruit a private client solicitor/legal executive with 2 + years PQE.

Candidates will need to be technically sound and with a practical knowledge of private client law. We are looking for excellent communication skills and a proactive marketer.

Responsibilities will include working for elderly and vulnerable clients, preparing Powers of Attorney, administration of estates, Court of Protection work and administration of client’s financial affairs, drafting Wills, administering trusts and advising on inheritance and capital gains tax issues.

The successful applicant will need to be highly skilled and be able to take on and develop an existing case load within the Private Client Department
