Many cases are capable of agreement following reasoned and sensible advice without the need for Court involvement. We also offer detailed advice on all aspects of ADR in an effort to avoid Court proceedings and to keep costs to a minimum.
Unfortunately there are cases where an application to the Court is necessary and we will be able to represent you in proceedings and will help safeguard the interests of you and your children throughout.
Where appropriate we also advise on the suspension or limitation of contact, or alternatively extending contact arrangements. We also specialise in the removal of children from the country (both permanently and for holidays), change of schools, change of surname and all matters relating to Parental Responsibility.
We also advise in respect of financial claims on behalf of children to include maintenance, property and lump sum claims. If parents are unmarried, then property claims on behalf of children are surprisingly common, with many residential parents applying to remain in what was the family home, whilst the child is of minority. We offer specialist advice in respect of these matters and our experience shows us that the majority of those claims are resolved without the need of Court intervention.
