Nicholas Dennis (Senior Partner and Head of Family Department)

Nicholas is the Head of the Family Law Department. He specialises in the financial aspects of Divorce focusing on larger asset base cases (high net worth clients). Nicholas is a well known local Solicitor and has an enviable reputation with clients. Nicholas says the Family Team consists of specialist Solicitors each with significant experience who will focus on meeting your needs. Nicholas comments that his Department has many years experience of dealing with matters not only in the Eastbourne County Court but also in many other areas including Brighton, Tunbridge Wells and the Principal Registry in London.

Alexandra Funnell (Partner)

Alexandra is a highly regarded and experienced Family Solicitor, specialising in family work for in excess of twenty years. It is no secret that Alexandra is a popular local Lawyer with both fellow professionals and clients alike. Her engaging personality makes her a very effective Lawyer. Alexandra has a broad practice, and she can provide specialist advice in all matters relating to family breakdown and in particular the financial aspects. Alexandra has specific expertise in children work dealing with both complex and straightforward residence and contact matters as well as international child law and seemingly intractable disputes. Guy Brown (Partner)

Guy is a specialist Family Law Solicitor having worked exclusively in this area since 1999. Guy proffers expert advice on family finance and children concerning both married couples (including civil partners) and cohabitants. He has a focus on resolving matters without Court involvement (ie Alternative Dispute Resolution – including discussing mediation and voluntary settlements). Guy also regularly represents the firms clients at Court. Guy has an impressive legal knowledge in all financial aspects deftly advising technical and complex legal concepts in a clear and user friendly manner. Carolyn Richards (Associate Solicitor)

Carolyn works in the Hailsham office and has specialised in Family Law for in excess of twenty years. Carolyn has specialised in family work for all of her career providing advice on all aspects of family law – including Divorces, Financial Aspects, Children and the law relating to cohabitants. Carolyn is a skilled advocate and prides herself on giving pragmatic yet robust advice and securing favourable settlements for her clients. Working from Hailsham Carolyn is able to cover a wide geographic area and has numerous cases in Eastbourne, Brighton, Uckfield and Tunbridge Wells. Carolyn is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel.
