Mediation

This is an option which parties in dispute must consider as an alternative to court proceedings or risk a penalty being imposed by the court in legal costs at the conclusion of a case. Mediation offers the opportunity for parties to agree a resolution of their case with the help of an expert facilitator rather than have a decision imposed on them by the court. It also offers the possibility of a solution before costs escalate. The mediation process is confidential and without prejudice to future action if a settlement cannot be agreed.
