Amendment to the Equality Act 2010

General Litigation

Changes to the Equality Act 2010 came into force on 21 December 2012.  The amendments mean that providers of insurance and other related financial services can no longer discriminate on the grounds of sex in the prices and benefits offered to customers.  This has been widely reported as many young women drivers could see an increase when renewing their car insurance premiums.
