Director Disqualified for Nine Years for Breaching Ban

Business Law

A couple who ran a domestic appliance service and repair business have been disqualified from acting as company directors.

Michael and Caroline Brant ran SE Services Appliance Repairs Limited.  By acting as director of the company Mr Brant was in breach of a previous ban.  Mrs Brant was registered as sole director but allowed her husband to run the company in breach of his ban.

Mr Brant gave an undertaking to be disqualified for six years from July 2008 after his previous company SE Services Ltd went into Administration.

The second company went into Administration in November 2012.  Shortly before this £24,000 was diverted from the company to a new company, Apolina Services Limited.  When the Administrators had been appointed a further £15,500 was transferred to Mrs Brant without satisfactory explanation.

Mr Brant has been disqualified from acting as a company director for nine years from 19 October 2012 and Mrs Brant for four years.
