Following Court proceedings which lasted some 6 years, a former wife of a Russian oligarch was awarded £2.7 billion by a Swiss Court. Is it believed that this is the largest ever Divorce settlement.
The parties had been married for 23 years and the payment represented half of the Husband’s total wealth. During the proceedings the Husband was accused of trying to conceal his assets, many of which had been bought by a Trust in his Daughter’s name.
