The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) have closed their consultation on its draft guidance note on sustainability and commercial property valuation.
Sustainability covers a range of factors including the physical characteristics of buildings, the impact of climate change on location, legislation, public policy and fiscal measures related to sustainability, the attitudes of both occupiers and investors who are increasingly sustainability aware.
The draft guidance contains a suggested checklist of information that valuers should consider collecting about sustainability issues.
