Family and Divorce
At a press conference earlier this year, the President of the Family Division, Sir James Munby, expressed his view that the time has come to take uncontested Divorces, where there are no children involved, out of the Court system.
At the press conference, there was also suggestion that it is time to remove all concepts of fault as the basis for Divorce, thereby leaving irretrievable breakdown as the sole ground.
It is yet to be seen whether these suggestions will be considered further.
