Attorney General to Criticise Legal Aid Cuts

Family Law

The Attorney General Dominic Grieve is to write to the Justice Secretary Kenneth Clarke to raise concerns over the Government’s planned cuts to Legal Aid.  Mr Grieve has met with family lawyers and pledged to pass on their fears to the cabinet.

Critics believe removing legal aid from cases, including those involving relationship breakdowns, will force many people to represent themselves in court.
