Hart Reade are bidding farewell to their Partner and Head of Property Department, Andrew Pluck, who retires at the end of April.
Andrew has been a practising solicitor for almost 37 years. He graduated from Nottingham University with a BA Honours in Law, finalising his qualification at what is now Nottingham Trent University. He began his training contract in 1987 and joined Hart Reade in 1990.
Andrew has specialised in advising clients on all aspects of property law – with the focus moving to residential conveyancing, commercial property and general business matters. Andrew was appointed Partner in 1992, initially working at Hart Reade’s Hailsham office before transferring to the Eastbourne head office when he was appointed Head of the Property Department.
Andrew’s significant experience in property law and business acumen has seen him assist hundreds, if not thousands of clients over the years achieve their property and business goals, as well as forging strong links with local professionals and agents in the town.
He has also been an active member of the local legal community as Treasurer of the Eastbourne Law Society, a past President of the Eastbourne Law Society and past captain of the Sussex Law Society Golf Society.
Within the firm Andrew’s knowledge and experience, and outgoing and quick-witted personality will be very much missed by his Partners and staff.
John Benson, senior partner said ‘Andrew has made an invaluable contribution to Hart Reade over the many years of his career and has steered our Property Department to the strong local reputation it continues to enjoy. Whilst we are sad to see Andrew go, we wish him a well-deserved, long and happy retirement’
