Hart Reade raises nearly £1500 for charity in 2019
During 2019, East Sussex law firm, Hart Reade raised a total of £590.92 for the firm’s Partners’ charity, People Matter. Employees raised a further £895.13 for their chosen charity, Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service.
A range of fundraising events were held throughout the year at the firm’s offices in Eastbourne, Meads, Hailsham and Polegate. Including a Homemade Biscuit Bonanza, St. George’s Day cream tea, Summer and Christmas raffles and Halloween and Christmas events.
Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS) is a front-line rescue service to help people who find sick, injured and orphaned wildlife across East Sussex. The service receives between 2,000 and 3,000 calls for help annually.
In addition, a number of firm fundraising events were held in aid of People Matter, including a quiz night in Eastbourne, a Summer afternoon tea at the Polegate office and the Meads Magic Christmas event in Meads. Raising a total of £590.92
People Matter provides information, advice and guidance to jobseekers, whether or not they are currently working. Their mission is to help people realise their full potential. Since the charity was set up, they have helped over 11,500 people with CV writing services, careers advice, job applications, business start up and mock interviews.
Hart Reade’s Parners and Employees have decided to combine efforts for 2020 and are delighted to be supporting Chalk Farm Learning and Disability Centre as the firm’s Charity of the year.
