Family Mediation Week
Family mediation week 22-26 January
Family mediation week aims to raise awareness about the option of mediation for divorcing couples. The benefits of family mediation are worth considering. Divorce is an extremely difficult time in your life where emotions will be running high, and this can often lead to a more acrimonious outcome. Mediation puts children first because you and your former-spouse are making decisions together, without court involvement.
Our family solicitors at Hart Reade always put the interest of you and your children first and this is why we offer advice in relation to mediation services and voluntary negotiation.
If you would like to discuss the option of using family mediation in your divorce, do not hesitate to call us on 01323 727 321.
Mediation in 3:
- The strongest predictor of the divorcing couples using mediation was having used a lawyer: ‘28 per cent of those using a lawyer tried mediation, compared with just 11 per cent of those who had not.’ Fair Shares? Research

- The government continues to support mediation with its MOJ £500 voucher towards costs and its recent survey; the scheme has helped more than 19,000 couples in mediation.
- Part 3 of the Family Proceedings Rules – the court has wide powers to encourage non-court processes like mediation.
