Dementia Action Week takes place during the week of 17 to 23 May 2021. This is a national event led by the Alzheimer’s Society to bring the public together to take action to improve the lives of people affected by dementia.
This year the Alzheimer’s Society is asking you to help cure the care system by urging government to reform social care. If you would like to sign the petition this can be found on the Alzheimer’s Society website.
The Private Client team at Hart Reade actively support the Wealden Dementia Action Alliance and are involved in the Hailsham and Polegate forums. The forums seek to make the local area dementia friendly by providing social and community activities. Hart Reade sponsor the memory cafes in Hailsham and Polegate and we are very much looking forward to when these can resume.
For Dementia Action Week the forums have prepared goody bags for people living with dementia and our offices at Hailsham and Polegate will be local collection points.
