Once the Court has issued your Divorce Application there will be a minimum timeframe of 20 weeks between the issue of the Divorce Application and the Conditional Order of Divorce. This period is to give couples a time for reflection. This period can also be used to agree finances.
You can apply for the Final Order of Divorce 6 weeks after the Conditional Order of Divorce is pronounced although parties are often advised to hold off on applying for the Final Order of Divorce until the finances are resolved.
