Business Secretary, Vince Cable, has announced plans to make it easier for businesses to hire apprentices. In an effort to help businesses train the skilled workers they need and to ease youth unemployment the government propose to cut the red tape involved in taking on an apprentice. Mr Cable also outlined plans to offer a financial incentive to small firms to take on their first apprentices.
