Children: Legal Chastisement

Members of the Welsh Assembly have approved the withdrawal of the legal defence of “legal chastisement” or “reasonable punishment” for parents who hit their children.
It is thought the move could lead to legislation banning physical punishment, such as smacking, in Wales
