A new family arbitration scheme for England and Wales has been launched by the Institute of Family Law Arbitrators (IFLA).
The scheme was launched on 22 February 2012 and has been set up by the newly formed IFLA, with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Family Law Bar Association, the family lawyers’ group Resolution and in association with the Centre for Child and Family Law Reform.
Divorcing couples will be able to use arbitration to resolve their disputes by agreeing to appoint their own arbitrator or have the IFLA select one for them.
