Judge Highlights Unfairness for Women

The Court of Appeal has acknowledged that Cohabitation Laws are ‘unfair’ on women. This followed an appeal by a woman named Pamela Curran who was told she had no right to a share in the business or home of the man she had been partnered with for 30 years.
The Court of Appeal acknowledged it was bound by the law as it stands. Ms Curran had said that she had trusted her partner to do the right thing in the event of them separating.
