The definition of personal chattels appeared in section 55 (1)(x) Administration of Estates Act 1925. This has now been significantly altered and simplified by the Inheritance & Trustees’ Powers Act 2014. Any Will signed before October 2014 referring to s55(1)(x) will invoke the old version unless specified otherwise.
