Separated Parents Financial Agreements
Increase in separated parents financial agreements
In November 2014, there were a total of 92,700.00 cases registered with the Child Maintenance Service, which is a 23% increase from August 2014.
Government figures show that around 64% of separated parents who use the Child Maintenance Service are now choosing to work together to make their own financial arrangements in respect of the payment of child maintenance.
This means that the number of cases in which the state is collecting money from one parent and paying it to another has fallen to 36%.
