Family Law
The government is introducing new changes to ensure that mediation is considered by all separating couples in the first instance to resolve issues surrounding Divorce, Finances, Separation and Children.
The proposed changes are currently before parliament and will place an obligation on parties to consider mediation before making an application to the court.
Mediation is often a very useful tool which will frequently mean no further action such as court proceedings, will be necessary. It is, however, essential that you receive legal advice throughout the Mediation process. Our lawyers are members of Resolution which means that they will adopt an amicable approach so as to avoid proceedings.
