Update Your Will Week 2025 is this week, starting Monday 3rd March and going on till Sunday 9th March 2025. Organised by The Association of Lifetime Lawyers, the campaign highlights the importance of keeping Wills up to date. Research by the Association shows that over 50% of UK adults do not have a Will, and many of those that do have not reviewed it for years, meaning their wishes may no longer be accurately reflected.
The campaign encourages everyone to review their Will to ensure it reflects current family circumstances, financial situations and wishes. Common life events that may prompt a review include marriage, divorce, having children, or acquiring significant assets.
The Association of Lifetime Lawyers stresses the importance of using a qualified legal professional to draft or update a Will, ensuring it is legally sound and protects your loved ones. The campaign aims to raise awareness, encourage proactive planning, and reduce the risk of disputes after death.
