When it comes to property law, it’s easy for clients to be intimidated by the language used. What is a freeholder? What is the title? What is the Transfer of Equity? In conveyancing, there are often archaic words used, some harking back as far as the medieval ages (for example ‘tenure’ – meaning property or ‘land held’.)
