Macmillan Cancer Support celebrated its centenary in 2011 and to mark this special event challenged 100 local businesses to raise £1000 to help them continue to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
The team at Hart Reade eagerly took up the challenge and have raised a total of £1400.36 for this very worthy cause.
Fundraising events held throughout 2011 included cake sales, a Grand National sweepstake, a Royal wedding tea party, a charity library, a Halloween treat sale and a loose change jar.
