Background
Greg joined Hart Reade in September 2004 and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in March 2012. Greg was appointed as a Partner in May 2017. Greg is also a collaborative lawyer.
Greg is also a member of Resolution – first for family law. The Resolution Code of Practice promotes an approach to Family Law that is sensitive, constructive, cost effective and most likely to result in an agreement.
Strengths
Greg deals predominantly with cases involving divorce or relationship breakdown involving subsequent resolution of the related financial and property issues. He also regularly receives instructions in relation to all aspects of private law children matters.
Greg recognises that every case is different and he proffers advice tailored to the specific circumstances of each case.
Greg encourages clients to resolve matters, wherever possible, without court action and therefore endorses alternative dispute resolution.
Greg is able to negotiate in a considered, calm and pragmatic manner, working to achieve the best possible negotiated outcome.
In the event it is not possible to settle a case using alternative dispute resolution, Greg is experienced in representing clients where an application to the Court has been made.
Approach
Greg adopts a pragmatic but firm approach to the resolution of divorce proceedings, financial disputes and children matters.
Greg will provide advice designed to resolve matters as amicably and as quickly as possible at a proportionate cost. Although he will provide clear advice on the most appropriate way to proceed, if he is instructed to pursue an alternative option preferred by his client, he will of course do so, recognising that it is the prerogative of his clients to proceed in the way that they wish to.
Other Information
Greg offers a free legal appointment to give general advice and guidance in relation to your matter and to estimate the likely costs involved.
Greg is also happy to act on a Consultancy basis, providing advice in the background whilst a client is negotiating with his or her partner.
