The government published its response to the Ending the Employment Relationship consultation earlier this year.
New legislation makes pre-termination negotiations inadmissible in unfair dismissal hearings. A new statutory code of practice and guidance will be released on how to resolve disputes in the workplace.
The unfair dismissal compensatory award will also be capped at the lower end of one year’s pay.
