Minimum Wage
Increase in national minimum wage rates
The National Minimum Wage Rates increased from 1 October 2015 as follows:-
- £6.70 per hour for a worker aged 21 and over (previously £6.50).
- £5.30 per hour for those aged 18 to 20 (Youth Development Rate) (previously £5.13).
- £3.87 per hour for those aged 16 to 17 (previously £3.79).
- £3.30 per hour for apprentices (previously £2.73).
- £5.35 per day for accommodation offset (previously £5.08).
