Hart Reade raises money with Coronation-themed raffle
Hats off to our charity committee who once again came up with a fantastic fundraiser for Eastbourne & Hailsham Foodbanks. The Coronation cream tea raffle raised a total of £167! Lucky split winners, Lynn Heaton and Carla Webb went home with half a day off holiday (Lynn) and a cream tea box which included Prosecco, scones and other goodies (Carla). Charity committee member Brenda Ticehurst said: “We’d like to thank everyone who took part in this raffle, the foodbanks will benefit from your contribution.” Now for the great scone debate: will Carla first spread jam or clotted cream on those scones?
