A husband is entitled to keep the majority of his wealth after a judge’s ruling in divorce proceedings. The husband inherited farms, land and an investment portfolio from his father. Although the couple had been married 25 years, their estimated £21 million fortune was ruled not to be the result of their joint endeavours. Therefore the sharing principle of divorce could be ignored and the wife was awarded £4.3 million.
