Good News From The Probate Registry

There is good news for those awaiting probate.

There has been a recruitment drive at His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) and with training of new staff now complete, it is hoped the backlog will go down. 100 new roles were filled by permanent employees, so the probate registry should be firing on all cylinders.

Adding to increased staff, the digital service has been improved with a new online portal where applicants can log in to see the status of their application.
