The Government has relaunched the Right to Buy homeownership scheme. The scheme offers over two million council tenants the chance to buy their properties with the help of a large discount.
Long term tenants could receive discounts of up to £75,000.
Councils are being offered the chance to sign an agreement allowing them to use the receipts from the properties they sell to build new affordable homes in their areas and claim back 30 percent of the costs.
